I am back from a fabulous vacation, and as such: this week’s links will have a Las Vegas focus.
Here we go!
» Las Vegas Implosions
Some interesting history of past hotels which have been imploded, including video.

» Hurricanes As Seen From Orbit
Since our outbound flight was impacted by Hurricane Ike.
[self explanatory… and cool!]
» The Vintage Vegas Postcard Museum
Some awesome vintage shots on these. Also features (oddly) a collection of matchbooks.
» Youtube: Experience Wii
This is pretty impressive. You’ll see what I mean (I typically do not link to Youtube, but this is a bit of an exception.)

» Yearbook Yourself
Upload your picture and see what you would have looked like in yearbook photos from the 1920’s to now. Note: Appears to only work in IE (not Firefox.)

Happy Friday everybody!
Sorry: No Friday links for this week as I am on vacation (in Las Vegas).
See you next week!
Hello again, Friday People.
Just a note that I will be on vacation next week, and as such: no Friday Links. But I’ll be back and refreshed the following week.
Heeeeere we go…
» 11 Reasons Why Bill O’Reilly Is Completely Insane
Note: there are videos, and they are funny.
» Axel Peemoeller Design: Eureka Car Park
Photos of the interior of the Eureka Car Park in Melbourne, Australia.
Check out their weird use of forced perspective to make it obvious where you should go if you’re confused. Very well done.
Also check out his main site’s bizarre interface design.
» The Awful Forums: My mother is insane
Chronicling one man’s mother’s obsessive collection of… stuff. You kind of have to see this to believe it. It gives me a pain in my stomach.
» Chat Noir
No instructions exist for the game, but it’s kind of like a mixture of tic-tac-toe and Othello. You have to box the cat in so he can’t escape. My own hint: Try to keep him away from the edges.

Have a great weekend, everybody. And see you in two weeks!
Hooray for Friiiiday!
Here we go…
» Storm Pulse
Since we are in the thick of Hurricane season (and what a season, so far) this site can help you track and prepare for intense weather events. A great interface and a pretty fascinating site.
» Lucy and Bart
A bit creepy, but also fascinating.
Also check out their bizarre blog.
» Idée Inc.: Multicolr Search Lab
“We extracted the colours from 3 million ‘interesting’ Flickr images. Using our visual similarity technology you can navigate the collection by colour.”
This is a brilliant and somewhat addictive little application. Must have taken some time to complete. Very cool.

» BMX Backflips
Because who doesn’t love watching someone fall down?
» Project Sidewalk: Is There Work To Do?
Rather odd. But also funny. 🙂
I hope your weekend is excellent.
