Fffffffffriday!

At last!

» A Bicycle Built For 2,000

Over 2,000 human voices recorded via Internet, assembled to sing “Daisy Bell”.
Apparently these are all Turkish mechanical workers. “Workers were prompted to listen to a short sound clip, then record themselves imitating what they heard.” Crazy project.

» Behance Network: Make Something Cool Every Day 2009

“A new piece made every single day. These are the pieces I’ve made thus far.”
Some great work in this site.

» Scan America

Live Police, Fire and EMS scanners.

» Atomic Kaos 2 Orbits

Enjoy your weekend everybody!

Finally: Spring!

And! It’s Friday!

Heeeeeere we go…

» Vintage Photos at MangoFalls

“The camera had been dead a long time. I was about to set it down when I noticed that there was a roll of film inside. I slowly rewound the film, popped the door, and was rewarded with a pristine roll of Kodachrome.”
This guy develops found rolls of Kodachrome slide film and posts selected ones to this site. His commentary is interesting.

» The Grocery List Collection

The things people will contribute to…
1,800 and counting. It also features a Top 10.

» Lost America

Night-time photographs (long exposure with gelled flash) of numerous abandoned towns, vehicles and other places throughout America. Some breathtaking work here.

» Death Versus Monstars

“Is a super-frantic, super-intense manic arena shooter.”
No kidding! Excellent little game. (In fact: I hope someone ports that to the PSP.)
Nice find by Michael S.

Happy Friday, and have a great weekend.

Friday….

THE 13th!!! [orchestra!!]

Yep: two months in a row.

Let’s begin…

» Thru-You

“What you are about to see is a mix of unrelated YouTube videos/clips edited together to create ThruYou.”
This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in ages. Well worth the extra bandwidth. (As many of you know, I rarely link to video due to corporate filters. This one is worth it.)

» Coin Op Videogames: Arcade Sounds

“In November of 1982 my best friend had a Sony TCS-310 Stereo Cassette Recorder. Audio cassette tape was the affordable recording medium at the time and one wintery day while on our way to the arcade ‘Just Fun’ in Ithaca, NY, we came up with the idea to record video game sounds in the arcades.”
Ahhh nostalgia…

» The Colored Pencil Society of America

[self explanatory]
Odd. But there is some fantastic artwork on that site.

» Tetoris

An insanely large-screen version of Tetris. It could take days to finish. 🙂

» Help Remedies

Very cleverly-designed first aid items. At the moment only two products, but they are carefully thought out, cheap, and eco-friendly.

Happy Friday, Friday Links Subscribers.

» Veer: Type City

This is a really interesting and beautifully-designed way of previewing fonts. Note: popup blocker will prevent the actual presentation from appearing. It’s worth it.

» Linez!

A thoroughly addictive numbers game. Frustrating, yet very, very addictive.

Ta daaaaaa!

Happy Friday, everybody.
