It’s Friday again!
And not just any Friday:
Whuhoo! And also it’s Friday Links Time. Win / win.

A fun little tool!
Red-Flare Easter Eggs
Lesley A. Jensen (aka
Red-Flare) is an artist and hobbyist from the US who has created numerous collections of carefully decorated Easter Eggs. She covers the Marvel Universe, the Walking Dead, and several others. These are terrific!
This Woman Makes Tiny Homes for Her Wild Bird Friends
Jada Fitch is an artist and illustrator based in Portland, Maine. She’s also a self-professed ‘birder’ who not only enjoys birdwatching and illustrating them (her bird drawings are wonderful), but also making tiny homes for her winged friends and filling them with delicious treats.”
She creates quite a bit of other content, and has an online shop, but this tickled me.
Play For Good
Instructions are primarily in French but you’ll definitely figure it out.

Have a great (long?) weekend everybody!
Well hellooooo Friday!
Welcome back everybody.
Finally warming up, where I live.
Let’s get to it!
“Use Deep Learning to Automatically Colorize Black and White Photos”
A pretty amazing little tool.
Not that everybody has tons of B&W photos but it’s a neat trick in 2019.
Mickey Rooney’s Wacko Businesses
e.g.: “Mickey Rooney’s Potato Fantasy Family Restaurant” (which only served potatoes. Period.)
I had NO IDEA! This is a fascinating read.
See also (related?) “
Mickey Rooney’s amazing sex life“.
Berlin Transit Map
Given that I live in Toronto and we still have our piddly 2.5 lines of subways, this is magnificent.
A first-person shooter populated entirely by eggs. (First-egg shooter?)
Just in time for easter! (I guess)
And that’s that!
Have a fantastic Friday everybody.
Welcome to Friday!
Ahhhhh that’s better.
Suzanne Jongmans: Mind Over Matter
Dutch artist Jongmans recreates Renaissance clothing from recyclable materials like bubble wrap, foam sheets and industrial plastic wrap.
This is making the rounds and so beautifully done.
Ring Geometry Generator
Produced using the
ganja.js Geometric Algebra library.
Beautiful! Sadly no method of outputting the data so you could actually size and 3d-print the ring.
Chun Kwang Young: Artworks
Most recently Mr. Young created what he refers to as “aggregations”, which are large-scale sculptures formed by thousands of small paper parcels.
It is incredibly intricate work.
Turnstile Mint Reprise
Imagine a weirder version of pac man with oddly designed mazes.
I like it. Definitely very challenging, but then also SO satisfying to clear a level.
Have a great weekend everybody!
