Happy Friday everybody!

There goes October.

And it’s still nice out where I live. Weird.

Here we go!

Eeeeeeyikes.

From Cinepheliabeyond.org. That title is a mouthful!

This article has numerous really interesting items in it. Audio interviews, pages from the script, letters, scale models. Lots!

Ikea Tarot Deck

Ikea Tarot Deck

“Ikea is a place of transition, a journey, a source of light and comfort, but also strife. Ikea contains the universe. Harness that power to understand your own life with these cleanly designed Ikea themed tarot cards.”

Note: not “officially” from Ikea. (Just in case.)

This is fantastic. Also: you do not have to assemble it.

Tilt2

Tilt2

A tricky, simple game. Just tilt left or right to avoid objects.

I feel like it’s a zen experiment. Definitely inspires patience… and maybe some rage.

Have a lovely Friday and a lovely weekend everybody.

Yup. It’s Friday!

Where I live it’s getting seasonably colder. That was fast.

Here we go!!

TokyoBuild

TokyoBuild

“There’s a certain allure to Tokyo’s storefronts – the colors, the textures, the urban decay – that have inspired many artists and designers. For Stockholm-based designer Christopher Robin (yes, he was indeed named after the boy in Winnie the Pooh) that inspiration came when he had the opportunity to visit Tokyo for the first time last year. Upon returning, he began a side-project called TokyoBuild.”

A series of mini dioramas of decaying storefronts found throughout Tokyo.

These are quite detailed. I love it.

Yes there is an Instagram account.

Holy crap. So much going on in this article. Monica Lewinski as a net entrepreneur. k.d. lang promoting the Rio MP3 player. Radiohead webrings. (Webrings?)

It’s only 18 years ago. So much of that is just… gone.

Can You Draw a Perfect Circle?

My best score after numerous tries was 93.2%. It’s quite sensitive.

It’s challenging! Mercilessly addictive.

These have been your Friday Links for October 19th, 2019.

Have an incredible (and hopefully warm) weekend everybody.

So crazy.

Originally by Erik Satie. Using generative code (which they also provide for free,) it generates the music forever.

Someone should do that for Eno’s “Music for Airports

“…Knolling is a type of flat-lay photography, where different objects are arranged at 90-degree angles from each other, then photographed from above. The look is symmetrical and pleasing to the eye and allows people to see a variety of objects in a single picture; perfect for demonstrating equipment or an inventory, for example.”

Puzzle Platformer Square

Puzzle Platformer Square

A fun, simple little game.

The gravity reverses – as well as the direction controls – resulting in some brain-twisting controller functions.

I really enjoyed this!

And so this concludes our Friday Links for October 11th.

Have a great (long?) weekend!

“Are you thinking, “Hold on – is this BUBBLEGUM?!”… yes, yes it is. These sculptures – from high heels to crocs {the animal, not the shoe} – are the work of Italian artist Maurizio Savini.”

Very detailed.

Expertly written. Loved it.

You keep guessing, and it keeps including statistics. Sadly no timer. (That would be neat. How many can you name in 5 minutes?) The screenshot above is mine at the 4 minute mark. Do your worst!

Spooky-land

Spooky-land

A really fun motorcycle race-and-jump game.

The physics are super fun. Surprisingly challenging!

And there we go. Links: Done!

Have a happy Friday and a lovely weekend.
