» The #1 Song On This Date In History

Choose a date (your birthdate, for example, down to the year.) This site provides an iTunes link to the song that was #1 on the Billboard charts for that exact date. Pretty exhaustively researched, and a neat idea (even promotes the purchasing of long forgotten songs.) Of course not all songs are represented on iTunes. The selections go back to 1891 or so, but iTunes does have some dating back as far as 1935.)

» Old photos of everything in the wind [late Edo try…]

It’s all in Japanese, but it’s pretty straightforward: Either upload an image, or provide a url to an image, then hit the blue button below. It turns any photo into one resembling an early Daguerrotype. Very cool.

» Taaz.com

“Taaz.com is a fun, easy-to-use website that gives women the opportunity to ‘try on’ the hottest makeup and hairstyle looks from the convenience of their homes.”
This is a pretty interesting use of technology.

» Compulse

“Drop the different blocks on the stage to affect the direction of the ball. Try to use as few as possible, but you may use as many as you want.”
Very slow moving but definitely addictive.

Have a great weekend, everybody.
