Phew Friday!

I mean… Friday! Right?

Let’s go…

» NYC Taxis: A Day in the Life

“This visualization displays the data for one random NYC yellow taxi on a single day in 2013. See where it operated, how much money it made, and how busy it was over 24 hours.”
This is fascinating to me. Really well done.

» GeaCron: World History Atlas & Timelines since 3000 BC

“Have you ever tried to identify the historical facts which were simultaneously happening, in any part of the globe, during a certain period of time? If you try, you will see the enormous difficulty it conveys.”
This is an amazing undertaking. The first changes you see within the map cover the reign of Alexander the Great, and from there it continues forward – throughout global history – until the present day.
This could easily eat up many hours for history buffs.

» Rocklopedia Fakebandica

(a.k.a.: FakeBands.com)
I love that a bunch of the fake Coachella band names created by Jimmy Kimmel Live are represented here. (2012 – 2014)

» Yellow Dreamer

A flash game very much inspired by Nintendo platformers of yore, but definitely an original idea all its own. Well done. (And challenging.)

» Baby Food Zazzle

“Real zazzle baby apparel for adults”

Have a great weekend everybody. Hopefully it is nice and warm where you are.
