And it’s the last Friday in March, 2022. We made it to Spring!
I hope you’re all doing very well.
Kika Studio Miniature
Tiny fairy housing carved into wood and set inside walnut shells.
These are all hand-carved. The artist, Kristina, is very fervently against using a 3d printer for any of these creations. She also makes custom works by request.
Instagram is worth a follow as well.
100 ways to slightly improve your life without really trying
It’s a pretty good list!

Driving Simulator on Google Maps
The steering is a little wonky but it works!
sort of hilariously fun.
A very straightforward mini-golf game.
It’s pretty impressive that something like this can be created in the browser. Crazy.
And so there we go. Linked up! On a Friday!
Happy Friday! Happy Weekend! Happy Spring!
See you next week.
Welcome back to
And it’s almost Spring! (Sunday! In my hemisphere.)
It is link time!
Dream by WOMBO
Type something you want to make a picture of, choose an artistic style, and click “Generate”.
Machine learning and A.I. of course. Interesting.
It’s definitely way more abstract than literal. Also, sadly, no gallery.
Barry Webb: Slime Moulds (Myxomycetes)
“These organisms go through different stages. At one stage in their life cycle they are single cell amoebae. Most of my images show them as fruiting bodies which are the spore bearing stage. They are extremely small, averaging 1-4mm. This is probably the reason I had never noticed them before, during many years of photographing fungi.”
These photos are astonishing.
(Interesting to pronounce!)
You are presented a country shape.
Identify the country.
The Wordle adaptations keep on coming…
Farmers Stealing Tanks
“Steal a tank that has run out of fuel and take it back to your shed.”
recent events, harder than it looks.
And there we go!
Happy Friday everybody. Happy Spring! Happy mid-March!
Have a great weekend, and see you next Friday!
Hooray for Friday!
Welcome to it.
It’s the “Wordle” interface but you basically have to name the song. (Artist and title.)
Very brief segments of the intro = super hard.
It appears to only include music going as far back as maybe 2002. Still! Pretty well done.
Alex Ten Napel: Portraits Of Hens And Roosters
Honestly quite beautiful and striking portraits of these birds.
Lots more work on his site. Well done.
Internet Movie Cars Database
“You will find here the most complete list on the web about cars, bikes, trucks and other vehicles seen in movies and TV series, image captures and information about them.”
They are not kidding.
I went looking for
this car, but on the way also found this one, which I had completely forgotten about.
It is exhaustive! Cars in traffic! Cars in the background. It’s a little crazy.
Crazy Flips 3d
Click to crouch, release to jump, click to tuck and roll.
I find it super challenging. VERY satisfying to land a difficult jump. Fun!
Well there you have it. Allll done with Friday Links for another week.
Happy Friday, Happy Weekend, and I hope you’re all doing as well as possible.
See you next Friday!
Well hello there
What a frikkin’ week!
Real quick: to help Ukraine right now, visit
this website. Very comprehensive.
Due to a super busy
week, I only have three links for you. Apologies.
Bellingcat: Russia-Ukraine Monitor Map by Cen4infoRes
“The Russia-Ukraine Monitor Map is a crowdsourced effort by Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) and the wider open source community to map, document and verify significant incidents during the conflict in Ukraine. Its aim is to provide reliable information for policymakers, journalists as well as justice and accountability bodies about the evolving situations both on-the-ground and online.”
Much more information
Caution: some links may include graphic images of war. (They’re colour-coded to indicate the severity of the content.)
Kahoot: Flags Flags Flags
See the flag, guess its country.
There are some crazy flags out there! Very challenging.
You are an egg, shooting other eggs.
I suck at this game but you might do better. Still fun!
And there we go!
I hope your Friday is fantastic. Have a lovely weekend.
See you next Friday.
