So what are the Friday Links?

Back in 1998 I started sending “cool”, “funny”, “interesting” (etc.) urls around to co-workers and friends, just informally, from my then-work account on Friday afternoons. People liked them and they sort of came to expect that I’d send at least one weird or creative link each week. It was pretty low-key and mostly to start some discussions about the weird uses people had for websites, or cool ideas for design, or engrossing content, etc.

In 2003, I started sending to a larger and larger group, and they started telling more people, and then some of my overseas friends heard about it and, well, here we are. From 2003 to 2008 it’s grown from a small clique of co-workers to a total of ~8,100+ subscribers around the world.

It’s easy to subscribe. Just click here. If you want to unsubscribe: just email me. (fridaylinks@brainrub.com).

I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading.
